Hello Terry, It is unfortunate you feel you were ripped off. The vehicle was diagnosed and repaired properly and was in proper working order when it left our establishment. I remember you and your wife Kelly (The repair order is in her name) were very happy that the evaporator did not need to be replaced. You brought us a vehicle that had an expansion valve that has split open and let all of the refrigerant into the atmosphere all at once creating the odd smell you experienced. You have not informed us that something was not operating properly, as the repair does come with a warranty. Has your A/C been working all summer? We would appreciate the opportunity to know what " didn't fix the problem" as we were never given the opportunity to correct any situation you may have. I find it interesting that you feel compelled to give us a poor review 3 months after the repair was performed. By the description of your price comparisons and most importantly the missing details it is obvious you have been searching the internet with the intention of discrediting. To be clear you were charged $150 for diagnosis as we do not magically know what is wrong. The repair for the valve was $325.72 parts and labor, which is on the absolute low end of your description, and the evacuate and recharge of the A/C system, which is required, was $281.94, including new refrigerant, since your system was empty. Your complaint unfairly does not include the diagnosis or the Evacuate and Recharge, that total the $810 with taxes and fees. If you have any questions please call the shop.
